"I hate mummies! "Say Rick O'connell. The film The MUMMY: TOMB OF THE EMPEROR DRAGON was considered one of the 10 most waited films of 2008.
In 1946, Rick and Evelyn O'connell are retired in Oxfordshire (England). Meanwhile, Alex O'connell follows in the footsteps of his parents and studied archaeology and Jonathan (the brother of Evy) takes care of its lively bar IMHOTEP in Shanghai.
The mummy of Han, an emperor is awakened and will resurge its legion of 10 a thousand soldiers… not to be that the O' connells obtains to stop it.
As they can see the film does not treat Egypt more and yes of China (what it is well interesting). It did not only have changes in history as well as in the cast. The actress Maria Bello (of “Show Bar”) is the new interprets of Evelyn O' connell.
The mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is directed by Rob Cohen (of “The Fast and the Furious” and XXX) and written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Spider-Man 2, Smallville).
The scenes had been recorded in Montreal, Toronto and Quebec.

Em 1946, Rick e Evelyn O’connell estão aposentados em Oxfordshire (Inglaterra).Enquanto isso, Alex O’connell segue os passos de seus pais e estuda arqueologia e Jonathan (o irmão de Evy) cuida de seu animado bar IMHOTEP em Shangai. Acidentalmente é despertado a múmia do imperador Han, que foi amaldiçoado por uma feiticeira.O imperador ressurgirá sua legião de 10 mil soldados...a não ser que os O’connells consigam pará-lo.
Como podem ver o filme não se trata mais do Egito e sim da China (o que é bem interessante). Não houve só mudanças na história como também no elenco.A atriz Maria Bello (de “Show Bar”) é a nova interprete de Evelyn O’connell.Penso que ela é uma ótima atriz e vai dar conta do recado. Também temos Jet Li, que será a múmia (muito mais vingativa e mais forte que a múmia Imothep) e Luke Ford, que interpretará Alex O’connell praticamente adulto.
O filme tem mais ação e efeitos especiais que A MÚMIA e O RETORNO DA MÚMIA.(muito mais!).
